Roots International Schools and Colleges hosted (RYMUN’ Lahore) Rising Youth Model United Nations, carrying the theme to uprise the Youth.
Reid Howell – Acting Public Affairs Officer and Spokesperson at the United States Consulate General in Lahore, attended this event as a Chief Guest.
Students’ participated in all the activities with great excitement and enthusiasm.
The ceremony started with a tableau performed by the students about child labour which touched everyone’s heart. It was then followed by Principal, emphasizing on the importance of the selected committees.
The committee started with a welcoming attitude. Women rights were discussed, highlighting violence and oppression against women. Delegates of different countries were engaged in passionate debate and after an overwhelming discussion of committees, around 300 people had gathered to pay their respects and a round of applause from the assembled crowd greeted the arrival of a singer, featuring the Nation’s favourite Asim Azhar. It was an epic event of RYMUN’ in Lahore.
